Yay more people complaing about no so yet people don't complain when a sp game has no mp

And as far as we may know this game may have $60 worth of content they have yet to say how many maps guns mechs and modes will be available

yeah what SP game did people complain about not having MP? hell if anything people when they put MP in a SP game. Dead Space, Bioshock, Tomb Raider, etc.

Umm I was saying the opposite  that u never hear of people saying that a sp only game has to have mp to be worth $60 but as soon as a mp only title is announced people say it has to have both

fair enough. I agree with people saying they should have both. here's the thing MP has always been a FEATURE of a game and not the whole thing, its something additional. As someone wise man once said; a game should be able to stand on its SP only kinda hard to do that if it doesnt even have a SP campaign. Or at the very least dont charge full price for what is half a game, but this is just me and a few others. Have a ball.

Actually if you look at Battlefield 4 ads, they do a lot of real gameplay moments for the multiplayer ads and trailers and it works wonders. DICE imo does make really great Battlefield trailers.

Here's some inspiration

I wonder how many people will walk into this game wondering where the singleplayer campaign is.

I would not be surprised to find an internet backlash on twitter the day after this game hit stores.  Given that there were a few people in this thread that didn't know, I would say most gamers that don't visit forums don't stand a chance of knowing right now.  They need to step up the marketing on that point before this game hits or there are going to be some confused/angry people.

As to your question, I don't know, maybe 25%?

'NO SINGLE PLAYER MODE' sadly seems like an indication of the direction the industry is heading.

Zampella wouldn't have had the idea to make the game this way if COD hadn't turned out the way that it did. People play online more than they finish the story these days. I would love to hear the amount of people who played GTAs story vs the amount of people who played the online.

SP made Cod, Halo and Half Life what they are today while titanfall will end like all other MP only games (unreal, brink, mag).

Half Life sure, but Halo most people spent their time in MP not SP. COD the SP did not make that big at all.

nobody played cod 1 mp, it was just a sp focused game, and the sp was good. we played bf and cs or mp.first bf was nextgen on pc, it had 64 player on the map... ohh and it was so much more nextgen with modsupport..

That's not the troubling part. There will always be singleplayer games around. Games like Titanfall are meant to play competitive in multiplayer so I don't really mind it being multiplayer only.

The real troubling trend is forcing multiplayer into singleplayer. To the point where you just want to enjoy your game and suddenly there are other people in your game you didn't invite.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

GTA online wasnt even up when 5 first came out. It only just started to function properly. GTA is a bad example IMHO. That series has always been single player focused and most people buy it for the SP and alot of people complete the story for it. Hell GTA4 online was a damn ghost town most of the time.
