Let's see if you also have Wii games to play then you have a lot of catching up to do. You got the Super Mario Galaxy games, Donkey Kong Country Returns! There is also Kirby Return to Dreamland which is pretty awesome.

Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower,No More Heroes 1 and 2. There are a lot more but those are the ones I can think of right now.

As for Wii U you have New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World, Rayman Legends and Pikmin3!

Time to catch up boy!

See my sig for my games list for games I'd recommend on Wii U. They are mostly also mentioned in this thread.

I'd pick ZombiU as one of my favorites so far, SMB3DW is amazing, as are many others. (a few on my game list are ones really only for my kids like skylanders/justdance/etc... so i don't recommend those unless its your cup of tea)

SM3DW is some of the most fun playing a video game I've had in a while.  Must buy.

 An essential title is 3D World.. It's original,  pretty and trolling in that game is pretty fun.   The  perfect game to play   after  getting drunk at a party.

You should definitely look into The Wonderful 101 if you enjoy wacky "WTH am I playing?" games.

I'd also recommend Little Inferno from the eShop.

Super Mario 3D World should be the first recommendation anyone makes.
I would also recommend NSMBU as you haven't played NSMB on the Wii.
NSLU is more of a DLC to NSMBU so I wouldn't really recommend that.
WW HD should also be on the list if you haven't played it on the GC.

My final recommendation is Nintendoland. Many fun minigames and great for local multiplayer.

I've got ZombiU and Lego City but haven't played them enough to make a recommendation.
