Forums - Nintendo - Do you think 3D Zelda sales in Japan will ever improve?

For quite a while now 3D Zelda games have been selling pretty meh in Japan.. Skyward Sword  didn't even reach half a million, Twilight Princess sold a bit over half a million and Wind Waker  almost made it to 1 million..

However, the handheld Zelda games are doing much better... In fact, A Link Between Worlds is  already at 220k and it only needs 140k to reach SS's sales in Japan.. Meanwhile, Phantom Hourglass outsold EVERY 3D Zelda in Japan since Ocarina of Time..

What do you think? Will Hyrule Warriors help Zelda U sell a bit better in Japan? Will  Zelda U outsell Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess in Japan? I hope it will, but it remains to be seen..

Only thing I'm pretty sure of is that Hyrule Warriors will sell better than the most recent 3D Zeldas. Zelda U will also probably sell worse than TP but not SS due to Wii U install base being smaller

Maybe Hyrule Warriors will make the Japanese audience more interested, although I'm not sure if they'll buy a Wii U for a Warriors game when they release 6 warriors game a year (educated guess on my part) on every platform in existence.
