Really excited for Windows 9
I hope MS gets it right.
So they want me to pay 99€ again for an update that fixes all the problems I have with Windows 8... Screw dat, Linux here I come!

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
Metro is good on phones and tablets, but just gets in the way on PC's. Windows 9 should be focused on PC's, with special Metro versions for other interfaces. They really don't all need to be the same.

The want to move past Windows 8 as soon as possible, seen as how it continues to underperform.
This is actually good news, as i want to move from Windows 7, but 8 just was not a good replacement. It reminds of the situation with Windows Vista, i never liked that one as well. I just upgraded from XP to 7. And now maybe from 7 to 9 :D
all they need to do is realise this:

...is a horrible philosophy. i don't buy a tablet to be a PC. I don't buy a PC to be a tablet. these are unique devices with specific pros and cons and use cases. tablets are great for casual web browsing and other entertainment purposes. PC are for "power users" to be flexible, powerful, and efficient.
One experience across all your devices would suggest that the next Windows would be called Windows One
It was much better when a new windows wasnt out every 3 years. Its a bit ridiculous. However I hated win 8, if win 9 would make it another vista, I would be pleased.
