25% includes DS software as well.

Interesting...now that China may be ready to embrace video games would Nintendo go with launching Wii U over there or go with the original Wii?

read that they will go with 3DS and Wii since they are profitable and cheaper besides having tons of games which sounds like the right thing to do

Very hard to believe that figure.

The console is owned by more than 100 million persons, even if only 5% of them are still active users, that would be 5 million games on december, more than 1 million per week.

I have a hard time believe 5% of the userbase bought a game this Dec given there is literally no software for it this holiday (or year) except Just Dance, which is down significantly.

how much of the 75% is wii u and how much is 3ds?

of the 25% is that were revenue from there baseball team goes?

Nintendo has a lot of operations aside from their console business. Though I wouldn't expect them individually to account for a significant amount of their profits, altogether they might help explain where that 25% comes from. Pokemon cards, t-shirts/merchandise, Zelda concerts, music, etc.

Because 3DS and Wii drive 75% of profits the WiiU not selling isn't a big deal?

Surely it would be fantastic news for Nintendo if the WiiU added to the profits?

It's as if Apple, before releasing the iPod, said "meh, 100% of our profits come from computers, so why bother".

According to VGC ≈ 11 million Wii games were sold in December (plus ≈ 11 million 3DS games, ≈ 6 million DS games and ≈ 5 million Wii U games).

Very hard to believe that figure.

1m per week for just the US alone for December.
