I also hope its not a MMORPG. The only 'sign' I saw for this game to be multiplayer-based is that the main black haired guy doesn't seem to have much character. Characters in heavily online focused games are also much less complicated in their personality. I really want this game to have a story. It looks fantastic. I want it more than ssb4.

After seeing the performance of Dragon Quest X I think Nintendo won't allow Monolith to follow that path.

Also, I hope there's some great online infrastructure with chatrooms. Otherwisre its gonna be a mess to arrange a game between friends without having to resort to skype and such.

from what we know and others have said, it will have online with up to 3 players I think. might be 4 though but you can still play it like Xenoblade with AI instead

There is evidence that it is not.

At 0:23 of the first trailer, the two characters seem to be CPU contolled.

There are other parts that say Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, and Player 4 like 1:20 of the second trailer.

It's Nintendo. There's no possible way it will be an MMORPG. Frankly I think assuming it will even have online multiplayer is a mistake.

I really hope any online/multiplayer components are optional. I, too, love single player experiences and I really just want MORE of what Xenoblade Chronicles offered in pretty much EVERY way, just now in HD and with the ability to fly around the even BIGGER overworld in the mechs.

My concerns with multiplayer are how that would affect the other party characters. If you don't play online, do you not get a party? If you do play online and everyone plays as different characters, it seems like it'll be difficult to have those distinct personalities that Xenoblade offered. I'm really just ready for some concrete information on exactly what this game is, what it's called, what relations it has to the other games in the Xeno series, etc.

This is going to be the game where Nintendo decides to roll out their full-fledged online ecosystem and, in turn, turning X into an MMORPG. Just watch.

Its not gonna be an MMORPG. Developing one of those takes alot longer.

My fear is that it become a hunting game.

What is likely is that it will be single player with multiplayer mode.
