I don't really understand this, to be honest. We know a lot of what the people on NeoGaf say is anecdotal and based on what they hear from other people in the industry, which itself is often anecdotal. That means it's never going to be 100% correct. It might be partially correct, which actually isn't so bad. Sometimes it's even going to be wrong, often for valid reasons, such as developers not having hardware/software versions that are up to date with Microsoft fixes and reworks.
What this thread is seemingly saying is, "if they're wrong once, THEY'RE ALWAYS WRONG," which has obviously not been the case, and, "if one user is wrong, THEY'RE ALL WRONG," which is just silly.
Personally, I'd rather hear this information, even though I'm aware that things can change rapidly which might make it untrue. Because I understand the nature of such information, I'm perfectly capable of holding it within my mind as a possibility without believing it to be gospel or getting upset if it turns out to be false. I do not expect complete accuracy, as that's basically impossible for anyone not highly placed within a company, and then that's ONLY for the company for which they work.
Basically, this crusade against NeoGaf looks awfully reactionary and childish to me. Just say, "I think they were wrong on this," and move on.
