OS problems were a straight foward lie, in fact.

Yeild issues are a little harder to prove or disprove. MS could be spending a buttload of money in production, and we may never know unless AMD/Foundry disclaim there roports, which they won´t.

Not necessarily you know. X1 has still not streaming services (twitch) and some features (snap?) at launch day were buggy/laggy on X1 (better now apparently).

One can guess that streaming services like twitch created numerous bugs with the OS or even game crashes. Why would someone decide to remove twitch at the last moment? For such an important feature and available at launch on the competition?

And yield issue could mean many things like you said. Maybe there was yield issues when they tried to do some overclocking like 900mhz for the GPU or 2ghz for the CPU. Also yield issues is relative to some percentage of defective APU. Maybe they are losing 1% of the APU instead of 0.1% for the PS4, stuff like that.
