Well done Sony, they have done a great job launching the PS4 and have kept the hits coming with their CES announcements.

However the Xbox One has performed better then I expected and is selling at a faster pace then the 360 in it's first year, 3M sold in a month and a half is pretty impressive also.

Very strong numbers for PS4..., congrats to Sony. This give hopes Ps4 will keep selling a lot this next months, because it's seems, ps4 is still lacking stock, and a lot of people is still awaiting. If they keep this rhytm and be around 10 million by E3 2014, that really will be AMAZING.

Yeah I just checked and thats the Mr Average total. The 10W countdown goes through to the 4th of January, so the average predictions will be even further away when we get the next set of data.

My predictions were 3.7 for PS4 and 2.73 for One. Im fairly happy with that. Better than average!

I'm absolutely not looking down on Xbox One here. PlayStations numbers are amazing, but I think the Ones numbers are excellent too thus far. Remember it still launched a week behind, and it had all that backlash. Too come back from that is a victory in itself.

I don't think PS4 numbers were expected to be this high exactly, it's pretty amazing. Did they screw up once at any point this year?

The situation was just that the anti-online stuff was so strong and the bitterness toward Microsoft grew so out of porportion by the E3 that Sony could do any thing they would be forgven, even charge for online multiplay.

Back there it appeared PS4 was the redeamer of mankind sins.
