Thief... A First-Person Stealth Videogame is a reboot of the "Thief" series that stretched from 1998 to 2004. The Thief Series helped define the action stealth genre and went on to inspire games such as Dishonored. You play as the main protagonist Garrett, a master thief that is capable of stealing anything. Garrett returns to his city to find it being ruled under the iron fist of "The Baron". The City is infested by a plague, the rich continue to live in good fortune, and Garrett intends to exploit the situation to his favor. However, a revolution is beginning to spark in the streets, and Garrett finds himself caught in the middle. 

Garrett, the Master Thief, steps out of the shadows into the City. In this treacherous place, where the Baron's Watch spreads a rising tide of fear and oppression, his skills are the only things he can trust. As an uprising emerges, Garrett finds himself entangled in growing layers of conflict. Lead by Orion, the voice of the people, the tyrannized citizens will do everything they can to claim back the City from the Baron's grasp. The revolution is inevitable. If Garrett doesn't get involved, the streets will run red with blood and the City will tear itself apart.

Use this place to discuss everything Thief. When will you get it? What system do you plan on getting it for? Are you not hyped for this game? Personally, I'm getting it for PS4. I'm also going to pre order so I can have access to the special Bank Job...

How good or bad will Thief sell? Seeing that it's going to be the first new release for Xbox One/PS4 to break the drought (Tomb Raider re-release doesn't count). I see some people hyped for it, but wish there were more...

I am hyped for games that I am hyped for. I haven't payed attention to Thief. Is there a trailer?

Less hyped now after seeing the screenshots and reading the plot description.

Yes. Day 1 for me. I've been wanting a new Thief game for ages

Ummm.... no? First person is part of the reason I haven't gotten around to Dishonoured yet. I'll probably end up playing them both but it seems odd to have third person promo artwork or bullshots. Reminds me of the cover art for Bioshock Infinity with the protagonist you never actually see. I was initially sceptical about Deus Ex: HR's hybrid system but it worked pretty well.

Unfortunately not. I hope it does well though.

However it seems a tough case, a bit like DMC. You' got a vocal fanbase that unless you won't entirely satisfy, will destroy you, not buying the game at all in retaliation.

The same people of Deus Ex:HR are doing this Thief, so you should give it a chance :P

Not particularly hyped for it, but as I buy most major game releases day 1 - regardless of how excited I am for it.

I've liked some of the stuff i've seen, and as it's next gen, that makes it a definite purchase.
