If it's good, it'll probably be my first PS4 game.

I like the theme but I have 0 expectations

* previews have been very weak so far
* they had to change the game due to fan complaints - they removed cut-scenes, QTE's or something like that, which tells me this dev is dumbing down the game and tries to make your typical linear, cinematic Hollywood experience
* it's probably inspired by the design and success of Deux Ex Human Revolution, which to me wasn't a good game (very artificial and cynical game design that treats the gamer like a dumbass. Poor AI and lots of other flaws).

My prediction is it will get a sub 75 Meta and be universally panned by Thief fans and will get very poor sales (<1 million).

To those of you that havent played a first person stealth game, youre missing out. The funnest part about playing dishonored was trying to make it through the game sneaking up behind people, trying to not kill anyone, and trying not to be seen. I predict this game will do better than 85 on Metacritic, hopefully thatll cause more buzz.

Sad to see such a lack of hype for a game I see being in the dicussion for game of the year, but ofcourse lets wait til release and see how it all ends up....

You really missed out by skippng dishonored, the First person perspective made it immersive, really amazing game. I prefer first person in games like these and third person for games like GTA, Assassins creed, ect.

I liked the first 2 games, but I am not hyped for this one, is in my MAYBE list, so I will wait for the reviews and maybe purchase in march if I have nothing else for that month.

Well I created some chaos in Dishonored. It's a good game at least. I'll give you that, maybe very good. Beautiful world and decent characters. I made it less enjoyable by playing on hard.

I still like to see myself and especially my feet when roof-running but they really created atmosphere and the tension and immersion will always be better in FP. The only other real drawback is that small cone that is your field of view. Makes for some annoying surprises. With TP you have a second to react when something comes on screen. In truth I'm not a stealth afficionado and prefer RPGs where I can snipe at range with bows. I'll hang onto it and try a passivist playthrough at some point.

I wonder if this game wasn't a bit of a reaction to Bioshock's success. There are at least some similarities I can see.

So I'm a bit more enthused for Thief. I hate to pay full price and then only get a couple playthoughs. I'll check reviews and if they're reporting decent sized sandboxes with different paths and some degree of customization I'm probably in. I hope the fans of the series get what they need. Enjoy.
