I'm spending my Christmas break in Florida. I think it got to a low of 60 today XD. It's been 70-80 all week.
I get back to New York at the end of the month, but I love Florida weather.

Living in any of those places would be a pleasure for me. I live in a place where termperatures reach 36-45°C. This has been the hottest summer in the last 107 years. I LOVE winter specially when it's extremelly cold like below 0°C and HATE summer, so yeah, i would love to live up there now.

Silly americans still using F deg and thinking that north of the border here in canada we are walking around in T-shirts right now. :P

But seriously, here in Quebec it's way worst. Yesterday it was between -29 and -41 degrees celsius depending on where you were (that's right, I use celsius, like the rest of the world for many valid reasons). And no, this is not ''normal'' for us. It's extremely cold even by canadian standards, records were shattered.

-25 °C last night feeling like -35 °C with the wind and -22 °C (-8 °F) feeling like -30 °C tonight, jesus going and coming from work was hell

Between -38 and -52. That's for yesterday which was the coldest day of the week. But today it was freaking cold also.

It was -17 where I live today...

Last winter was utterly brutal and it looks like this one is going to be even worse (I live in the metro area of Minnesota). It's been snowing almost every single freaking day...to the point that I feel like I'm going to go crazy with the constant snow. Although I would take snow any day to the death cold that's been/will be happening.

Luckily for me I get free heating (goes with rent) during the winter, so I can crank it up high. I do not get free AC during the summer, so I generally enjoy the winter more inside as I can sit around in the temp that I want. But during the summer I barely use the AC out of habit and stubbornness and it can get really hot.

I have never got my head around degrees F. What point does F reach zero? Honest question. 30 or so am i correct?

Only ever worked in degrees C. zero is 0. Makes sense. All i need to know is f the weather says zero i am look forward to some ice. Simple is it not?

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with Fahrenheit!  One of the cool things about F is that "below 0" really means business.  No one is gonna argue that below 0 F isn't cold.  Below 0 Celsius is only "freezing" in the literal sense.
