the Wii U has an amazing web browser
On WII U writing is easy with the Gamepad and the browser itself works in a surprisingly fluid way. The fact that you can use the browser at anytime whether you are playing something or not is also a big plus. Besides, pressing ZL + ZR and moving the gamepad for quick-scrolling is a useful and fun feature. For these reasons, Wii U's web browser wins by far among consoles browsers in my opinion and, to be honest, I expected a lot less from it before getting my Wii U.

No it doesn't. No flash support, most videos don't work.
It's good that it's fast since it deletes the page from memory everytime you switch apps.
And Sony needs to add the air pointer control from text entry to improve useability.
Works great as long as you don't run into something that needs Flash.
I used Bing quite often on the 360, and will probably use it more on the Xbox One. I didn't realize how completely spoiled till I was working on a Roku and a Blu-ray for finding things to watch at others houses recently. Both Xbox are fast and convenient.
One of the things I like most is that you can search for something, and it will tell you where to find it. Want Doctor Who? Well, this season you can find on Amazon Video, and these on Netflix, or get them all on Xbox Video. It's so Nice!
Also, for browsing I like it for setting things up - like listening to a podcast or a few other things. I think it will continue to grow. But without a keyboard, will not be using it like a PC.
Wii U's is awesome. Been on that internet browser for almost 880 hours in total. I do play games though. 3D World's at about 60 hours after almost a month, Sonic Lost World is at about 10 hours after 8 days, NSMBU is around 35 hours after a year, and Nintendo Land is 20+ hours after a year.

A load of the games on the Vita if not all of them will close a game if it's running while you try to open the browser. Sure it's a fast nice enough way to surf the net, but in terms of what you might want a net browser for in a console it fails having to close a game before opening the browser. |
Um no. That was changed a long time ago.
I think the Vita browser works well. Used it once when I was at a friends. The PS3 and 3DS browsers suck. I may have used the PSP browser once just to check it out but I don't remember what it was like.
For the Wii U, you can put a video on the TV, then check something else on the gamepad

yeah they need to addin flash support, even ps3 has this, but are not all youtube ideos going to be html5 soon?
Anyway, lots of room for improvements but its better than any console Ive used and feels as fast as my xperia z.
