But with 3rd party sales of smaller titles so low on 3DS. Vita does actually look like the better punt for more niche releases. Especially thanks to much less competition from big guns.

3DS hardware also constricts development a lot more which if software sales of smaller titles are going to be roughly similar regardless of format means smaller developers probably find Vita a more exciting development prospect anyway.

I think you've got a very good point...

Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, Mario...

I don't think it's unreasonable that publishers think they have a better shot of at not fading into obscurity on the Vita...

I only played two third party games on my 3DS in 2013 and they were both Shin Megami Tensei games...

Nintendo hasn't exactly helped increase exposure of third party games other than the two big names already mentioned...

I take from Siliconera, hence missing some western-centric games like MLB. Soul Sacrifice, Natural Doctrine and Freedom wars are in the Japanese planning. Will look into th others. What is Cosmic Star Heroine?

LOL great job not including vita games in there. Stop nitpicking. GE2 sales were great, but no vita titles hit even close to 150k in the past couple of months.

You tried to put that in your favor. Also LoZ will easily surpass that and so will kirby!

Vita games are doing very well on their userbase and so is 3DS. Stop always trying to downplay Nintendo.

Pretty sure Sen no Kiseki is above that, but I would need the final dengeki figures for 2013 to be sure
