Forums - Sales - Amazon's Bestsellers For 2013

I decided since it's the last day of December (well, I still have a little under 2 hrs to go), I'd make a thread to see how each console performed in Amazon's Top 100 Bestsellers for the year 2013.  I made another thread just before the launch of the PS4, comparing its preorders against the Xbox One.  So, I will also be comparing numbers with that thread to see if a console has gone up or down.  Just a note, I am only using Amazon sites that actually do have a Top 100 for the year.  I also didn't take note of the Wii U's postion in my previous thread, as that wasn't the topic, so I have nothing to compare them to.  Edit: As JWeinCom pointed out to me, the 3DS isn't officially sold by Amazon itself, only through 3rd party sellers.  I'm sure that doesn't help its sales on the site.

A quick note about Amazon US's numbers.  As you can see, there was a PS4 Launch Edition, as well as a BF4 Bundle, that was once listed in the Top 100.  For whatever reason, Amazon took off ALL traces of any PS4 on the Top 100.  Only in the past week or so, did they return the Standard Edition to the Top 100.  Make of that what you will.  And if there are any updates within the next 24 hrs, the numbers will be changed.

So, what are your thoughts on the numbers?

Worth noting that none of Nintendo's consoles are actually sold through Amazon. They're all through other providers. Dunno how this effects it's sales status.

Damn, I completely forgot about that.  I guess Amazon and Nintendo never made up?  That does make it pretty impressive it still was able to make it on the Amazon CA's Top 100.  I'll make a note of that in the OP.

a note about Amazon FR's numbers too, naked PS4 was 14th in October but they removed it too , i dont know why... it would easily be in top 5 if not.

There is nothing to say except that PS4 wins by far against X1 on Amazon

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Pretty much reflects the sales but the Amazon UK XboxOne position is pitifully low. What a turn around from the last gen.. at least as things stand.

Yea, that was the first "WTF Amazon?" moments for the PS4.  In my other thread, I posted the below demonstrating where it was originally.

Quite so.  According to VGC, the 360 has a 3M+ lead on the PS3 in the UK.  That's not happening this gen.  If anything, the PS4 may end up with that kinda lead.

Yeah Nintendo stuff is generally overpriced because of the reselling on the US Amazon site so not many people buy from there. Shame really.

It's interesting to see Sony's PSN cards outsell Microsoft points. I don't think that's ever happened before.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It's fair since PS + >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Xbox Live
