I read somewhere that it was sold out at many stores. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Three week-old Puzzle & Dragons beating out FFX /X-2 on PS Vita? Seems like it should have placed higher than that.

Not surprised at Zelda 3DS placing second. Extremely strong 3DS momentum combined with the first original Zelda for 3DS, being top-down instead of third-person, I definitely expected it would do quite well over there. Surprised other people here didn't think so. Japan loves "2D" Zelda, and does not like 3D Zelda. Despite the fact that ALBW is technically "3D", it plays like a 2D game, so it will enjoy nice sales in Japan for that reason. Kirby's first 3DS game coming on the 11th will continue 3DS beast mode for the foreseeable future. Japan loves Kirby.

Nintendo clearly is in great shape in Japan, thanks to 3DS continually having strong software launches steadily throughout the year.  If only they could nail down how to emulate that in NA and Europe.  Pokemon helped, but it's not enough.  Japan shouldn't have a larger install base of Nintendo handhelds than NA.

Didn't FFX on the Vita have a full sellout?

I have no idea of the shipment nor the sell-through, only that FFX Vita alone sold 30% day 1. Currently if we check Amazon, all SKUs know some shortages.

looks like square underestimated the vita

Yes here but we all kno LoZ might outsell FFX when it comes to Weekly sales (media create/famitsu)

With 3 versions of FFX in the top this isn't happening

There just aren´t many other appealing games to buy on PSV this holiday season to be honest (great placement on SQEXs part). Just looking at the number of PSV titles charting in this weeks COMG 1 title and Tatsuya 2 (FFX/X-2 bundle + standalone and Gundam). It´s no surprise that at least some people are looking for a PSV title this holiday.

Not everybody, it was more  50/50 of people. SM3DW flop, i seen in here and mostly outside of these forums SM3DW wouldn't even hit 400k lifetime. This was between the first week and second week of sales. Im not saying your wrong but at the same time all you have to do is look up the older threads or articles, etc!

Nothing wrong with that though
