I can see it happening, 3DS is really starting to slow up in sales and Wii U hasn't shown any recovery despite a number of 'system sellers' that have been released to no effect.

If 3DS peaks at 80 mil and Wii U at 20 mil,then PS4 at > 100 mil will get it there, and to be honest I can see PS4 doing that. I don't think it'll sell much over 100 mil, but it will beat it, IMO.

Ps4 will outsell the 3ds. Which is great considering the fact that it's a cheaper and it's a hand held. But I don't think it'll outsell both combined. Ps4 is number 1 and there aren't great games for it yet which is amazing.

There's nothing arrogant or insulting about my post. If anything is arrogant, it is giving your own post undue credit by calling it "bold prediction" rather than what it is.

You're primary citations include "I feel" and "I can see" without actually using anything in the way of a real argument with real analysis; that is an uneducated guess. Now onto the bold part, anyone can make a guess that is obviosuly not going to be correct based on the data, this doesn't make it bold, that makes it lowsy. Calling your own statements bold in the title of your thread is giving yourself WAY to much credit (and ironically, you're being arrogant too, particularly because you announced it in CAPS). If you need a citation, we'll call it 77.52% and 531 people of respondents on YOUR OWN poll.

1. Calling my prediction a "lousy and uneducated guess" is all sorts of arrogant and insulting.

2. Making a prediction about the end of a generation, at the beginning of it is bold. Why? Because a ton of stuff can happen in the next 5 years or so.

3. "Not going to be correct based on the data", you apparently haven't looked at the data. In 2014 the PS4 has outsold the 3DS+Wii U up till now and it did so with room to spare. The 3DS is significantly down YoY already, which is a clear sign that maybe even 80 million might be too much to reach. The Wii U on the other hand is still doing as bad as it did last year, even though it now does have a 3D Mario and Donkey Kong, it's tracking significantly behind the Gamecube, so I'm even giving it the benefit of the doubt when I'm saying that it can still reach Gamecube numbers once it has MK, Smash and Zelda. Finally the PS4 had the strongest launch in console history and sold 7 million console in 5 months or so, even if it is now falling behind the Wii in weekly sales, it still has a ton of momentum behind it and quite frankly only needs to leg out the Wii to outsell it.

4. So the poll results are heavily against me, this only supports my saying that this prediction is bold, people can't or don't want to see it. Also seriously how often have the Nintendo fans on here overestimated the potential success of the Wii U and even the 3DS, poll results mean nothing when talking about a prediction like this. 1. PS4 in its first year, meaning its weekly sales will only grow in the next couple years. 3DS on a clear downward spiral, and has had its strongest years already.

2. Almost no software that can move hardware has been released in Japan yet.

3. Great, Smash Bros is coming, so? Smash Bros, MK, Zelda have all been considered when I made my prediction for the 3DS/Wii U.
