1. Calling my prediction a "lousy and uneducated guess" is all sorts of arrogant and insulting.
2. Making a prediction about the end of a generation, at the beginning of it is bold. Why? Because a ton of stuff can happen in the next 5 years or so.
3. "Not going to be correct based on the data", you apparently haven't looked at the data. In 2014 the PS4 has outsold the 3DS+Wii U up till now and it did so with room to spare. The 3DS is significantly down YoY already, which is a clear sign that maybe even 80 million might be too much to reach. The Wii U on the other hand is still doing as bad as it did last year, even though it now does have a 3D Mario and Donkey Kong, it's tracking significantly behind the Gamecube, so I'm even giving it the benefit of the doubt when I'm saying that it can still reach Gamecube numbers once it has MK, Smash and Zelda. Finally the PS4 had the strongest launch in console history and sold 7 million console in 5 months or so, even if it is now falling behind the Wii in weekly sales, it still has a ton of momentum behind it and quite frankly only needs to leg out the Wii to outsell it.
4. So the poll results are heavily against me, this only supports my saying that this prediction is bold, people can't or don't want to see it. Also seriously how often have the Nintendo fans on here overestimated the potential success of the Wii U and even the 3DS, poll results mean nothing when talking about a prediction like this.
