Forums - Nintendo - Could Just Dance Have Been A Wii U System Seller?

Perhaps, but Ubisoft do so well with the Wii version that they will continue to milk it for all it's worth, they'd never agree to make it WiiU exclusive without such a massive moneyhat from Nintendo which would be so big that I think they'd be unlikely to make it back on increased WiiU sales

Personally, I expect the Just Dance games to be a bit like FIFA on PS2 - it still got FIFA 14 8 years after it was superceded and though I don't think it'll continue that long, JD on Wii is going to be a thing for a while yet

Well if Nintendo did this then Ubisoft would be getting money either way, wether they'd cut off support is debatable since Ubisoft knows eventually they have to stop making the games for Wii, why not do it now if Nintendo is willing to give them a big check for the pack in deal.  Also Nintendo has a fortune, time to start investing it in the Wii U.

Telling a publisher they're not allowed to release their game on a system isn't going to go over very well. And Ubisoft wouldn't exactly be losing much by not putting games on WiiU.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I don't know how they would have managed that, but if they did I don't think it would have worked.

It would have sold systems, but probably not enough to be significant.

If Nintendo made it so the game wasn't available on the Wii and packed it in with the Wii U could it have sold systems?  There is still a demand for it among the casual audience as it sold almost 2m units on the Wii and only 0.1m on PS3 and 0.5m on 360.  I think it would have been a smart move, especially in the holiday season.  Who knows it could have sold more systems than SM3DW.  What do u guys think?

yeah in some point Wii are damaging Wii U! i think yes ,JD will help Wii U a lot
