Forums - Nintendo - I bet you cant post two good reasons why third parties should make Wii U games.

1. There's much less third party competition than on PS4, XB1, therefore easier to stand out.

2. Support the console early and reap the rewards later.

Different possible play styles. Different potential market to sell to.

Expand their fan base.
Create new types of games.

Nope, I got nothing.
Sorry Wii U owners :(

More Money
Increase the fanbase

Isn't that why people make multiplatform games in general?

does it really make more money? since third party games have been failing on the Wiiu, can we really say they are profitable? even if they are slightly more profitable or break ever, wouldnt the resources be better fit to work on something else, that would be much much more profitable, so really putting games on the Wiiu doesnt make more money, but actually makes a lot less.

3rd parties don't have to use the WiiU Gamepad, and since WiiU is speced just above the PS3/360, it should be a fairly simple port. So as long as the game sells say 1,000 units (to cover the cost of printing new covers, and stuff) then yea, it makes more money.

Since porting to the WiiU costs almost nothing, you're not making a point. Plus if WiiU "lacks games" then hardcore WiiU owners might pick up Dark Souls 2. This increases the fanbase for the series and for the developers.

I said this in another thread, but I probably won't buy Dark Souls 2 for PS3/360, but if it released on WiiU, I might. The lack of Trophy's/Achievements would make the game more enjoyable, I really hate a half filled game on PS3/360, especially if it's a game I end up enjoying.

What is with all the hate? Don't read GamrReview Articles. Contact me to ADD games to the Database

I have one,

To tap into a new fanbase.

Can't think of a 2nd legit one.

There's no reason to support Wii U. 3rds should support industry domination by two diversified companies with over arching strategies to create synergy across divisions.

Maybe there's one reason.  Support a real game company. A company that not only gave them an industry, but brought so much with it including and not limited to; dpads, analog sticks, shoulder buttons, wireless controllers, rumble, wireless audio, 3D gaming, glasses free 3D, Wii Remotes, touch screen, dual screen, Instantaneous wireless video...

Second reason? Profit will come when 3rds attract their consumers back to Nintendo Systems.

1. Less competition against other third party developers.

2. Lower graphical expectations than on Xbox One and PS4, allowing for resources to be spent more towards gameplay.

1. Cheaper development costs
2. Easier to stand out

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
