Forums - Sony - Should Sony offer an Xbox style Dualshock 4?

I think they should release versions of the DS4 with all layouts. I'd buy a ps4 controller with a Wii U Pro controller stick layout.

Nay, It doesn't make sense to offer a downgrade to the controller.

This.

Why not? If you don't like it, don't buy it. More options is great.

pff why add an inferior option.

but they can give me their controller, but maybe 20/25% bigger hehe

im buying that adapter and will use my PS4 controller on Xbone

I dont think it really matters, the ps4 controller is a great controller already. Honestly, I really like all the controllers this gen. It is very different from last gen where there was one controller that I thought was by far the best (360).

no. It wouldn't be a dualshock.

i think having two variants of the controller might make it hard on developers as they would have to consider all variants when play testing the contollers.

...but i would like for them to offer 2-3 sizes: large, medium, and small. man-hands vs. kid-hands deserve some size options.

If anything this is the way to go.  My biggest complaint on the DS3 was hitting my knuckles together on the analog sticks (It was rare enough, but very annoying when it happened).   My buddy never had this problem, as he has childhands.

While the DS4 completely fixed that for me, Im sure others will bearhands still have that problem.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It would look odd i think, given the touch pad. But it'd be interesting to see
