Publisher Marvelous have just updated their website with some official No More Heroes sales data and projections for the future. The company is reporting that 40,000 units were sold in Japan to date. In America, however, sales figures are around 100,000 copies. The game is also slated to hit stores in Europe in March 2008, but so far pre-orders stand at a massive 160,000 up to now!

In total, Marvelous expects No More Heroes to sell 500,000 copies worldwide.

500k isn't too bad at all. i'm surprised by the amount of pre-orders in europe, just wow.
