Forums - Gaming - Gamespot: PS4 Owners More Satisfied Than Xbox One Owners

Exactly, they can't! So why would their satisfaction rating account for something that they've never tried yet i.e. the features and games that haven't come which you're talking about and how would they know if their satisfaction will stay the same, increase or decrease. You're somehow trying to incorporate "what's coming" into the equation which is not what the poll is about.

This is why the purpose of the poll in simple terms is: How satisfied are you with your purchase so far? I am 10/10 satisfied because it does everything I want from it. I am 8/10 satisfied because it's great but external harddrive blah blah is important to me so I'm slightly disappointed. Notice how the first guy didn't care about the harddrive.

And you're also making that mistake by thinking ratings given by media outlets are imperical. An 8/10 game by ign just means the reviewer thinks it's 8/10. Users can have a 1/10 experience with it or 10/10 depending on what is important to them.

You're missing my point though I get yours. I understand some people would be that satisfied. We should not be. We know whats coming. A 9 or 10 out of 10 is an uneducated look at the launch. We can play better games on older consoles or PC.

Some voting 10/10 is ok, but all that did? Over half? Bullshit. I mean that for both consoles. More satisfactory experiences, which we have experienced, are elsewhere.

Experience is subjective. "We can play better games", but better for whom? We have no idea what kind of games these people like. For me Bioshock 2 was 10/10, but for someone else it could be 1/10 because they just hate FPS. You're using your personal satisfactory measuring meter and applying it as a standard to everyone else. This ignores that other people are their own entity.

Maybe the poll is poisoned by fanboys who just voted 10/10 for the heck of it, but we cannot say that a user cannot be extremely satisfied 10/10 with their purchase and if 1 person can be....then many people just like him will vote the same.

The amount of people who rated 10 is incredible. No, trust me, you just can't give a brand new console a ten, no matter how much you love it. Especially since the lackuster launch titles for both parts and the missing multimedia features, plus any kind of problems you might run into.

Or the survey was responded to by fanboys who would completely deny any problems they have had, and feel the need to gloat about it,
while the real fans are busy playing on their new consoles instead of wasting their time on gamespot.

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

Indeed! When you enjoy something, everything else ceases to exist. When a gamer enjoys his console, the internet and its social medias are but a distant thing from the past. Console gaming now occupies 24h/7 of his time!! We all know that!

Satisfaction is based upon expectations. If you know exactly what you are getting you are usually more satisfied.

PS4 advertised as a Gaming Console, It is that and more so more ppl are happy with it.

XBO is hyped as a multimedia device, its a bit buggy and incomplete at the moment so their are a few frustrations.

That simple...

Anonline survey with no way to tell if a fanboy is downvoting. Of course.

Not thread worthy.

I already know people who have finished Killzone and BF4 and aren't even playing their PS4's currently. Waiting for a new exclusive.

lol at the 10s, it says everything about the value of this thread :)

Not surprised by this, most PS4 owners knew going in that the PS4 was a more powerful PS3.  When your expectations are so low, it's hard to not be satisfied.

It is near the end of the end....

Ironic considering the Xbox has more PS type games currently than PS4 does. Im not saying PS4 should be sold or anything, but shooters arent PS fans biggest type of games really are they.

But an online survey showing PS in a better light with notoriously more PS fans online? Im surprised more that Xbox was that close. Thats a win right there.
