Link for 1080p?

They also said earlier it was 60 FPS. Not confirmed if Upscaled or Native.

Thanks.

Not a good enough source for me though. I'm still expecting 720p at 60fps since that's what most Wii U exclusives are doing. Dr. E I believe said it was 1080p but he's not the best source either lol.

If it's 1080p I'll be happily surprised.

i think the Nintendo aproach to HD with these games is being very intelligent. instead of going for full detail and sub-HD and framerate hiccups, they aimed at 720p/1080p keeping more or less same Wii assets but with much higher fidelity in textures and visual FX and constant locked framerates either 30 or 60

but Wii U has no pwar. Don't lie to me OP!

I kinda suspect this game started out on the Wii or was quickly fast tracked by using Wii assets.

And yes, I've seen the game in motion, I played it at E3.

Still more DKC fun + David Wise = instabuy.

Well, wasn't Rayman 1080p on WiiU as well? Don't see why this wouldn't if so

Rayman doesn't use 3D models all that much. So that's quite a difference.

But yeah, running at 1080p should be possible, especially if it's 30 fps. Would be great if it's 60 though.

Pretty sure it's confirmed 60.

It's 60fps. Every game Retro has ever made, (including DKCR) and at least 90% of Nintendo's games since 2006 have been 60fps.

Also, there's nothing really graphically demanding going on to warrant 30fps.

I'll be impressed when I see X at 1080p with a decent frame rate.

The closer we get to this game's release the more excited I become but I did have a few problems with DKCR. While I find DK's control too slippery for my tastes, my biggest problems were:

First, having to shake the Wiimote to achieve the roll, and second, having to time my button press to bounce high off of an enemy as opposed to just holding it down (ala Mario).

Regardless, I'll still pick it up since the imagination, platforming and level design will no doubt be top-notch, but fixing the two aforementioned control problems might spell the difference between a "day one buy" or an "eventual buy when I see it on sale somewhere".

Already fixed, the game supports the pro controller and Gamepad.

What does the WiiU's power have to do with this? P: Hardware comparable to the PS2 could run a game at 1080p if it was simple enough, it's what it's showing in 1080p that's important (though for what it is, DK is still a nice looking game ^^).
