Gaming wouldn't be the same without EA.
they did some bad things, but also some good things. Unfortunate for them people always seem to forget the good things and remember the bad things.
EA also has the bad luck that gamers are some of the most egocentric, immature, big mouthed people on the internet.

They make some good games, so for the most part I like them.

Yes. They're not evil incarnate but they're certainly the driving force behind a lot of consumer and developer hostile shit in the past 15 years or so.

Got no problem with EA.
 As long as they continue to bring games I love I couldn't care less what others say about them or what their business practices are. You shouldn't forget that EA brought a heap of new IPs last generation:

Dead Space
Dragon Age
Mass Effect
Brütal Legend
Bulletstorm
Mirror's Edge
Crysis
Dante's Inferno
Kingdoms of Amalur
Rockband
The Saboteur
Skate

I mean name any other publisher that brought so many recognizable new IPs to the market last generation. The Ubisofts, Activisions and Squenixes of this world were mostly just riding the sequel train of past generations.

I have not problem with EA

This gen i bought Dragon Age 1+2 and NFS:MW (vita) from them and quite enjoyed all of them (Yes i like DA2, get over it).
Loking forward to DA3

1.65 million for EA is like 5 euros for me. I gave 2 euros to a homeless guy yesterday, doesn't prevent me from being a douchebag.

EA buys a successfull studio, encourages them to keep going with their star IP (exemple : Simcity). They do a better game with bugger budget, big marketing. Then they do countless shitty sequels with tons of DLC and no innovation cause they know people will buy it anyway.

EA: "fuck everyone found out we are the cancer to the gaming industry. So lets donate some money so some not-so-smart-people might think we are actually a good company."

EA is horrible.
