Yes that is why I bought a Xbox One. I can see the Xbox One having a wider appeal to a bigger audience when it gets cheaper ($300) And don't worry about having worse graphics on Xbox One, it is no where near maxed out. Games will look twice as good in a couple years.

So it'll really take off in about 5 years when it's actually that price :P

Honestly, think about the fact that the X360 continued selling at launch price up until... a year ago?  It won't be the price that sells this thing, only its unique features.

why is being able to watch tv or videos while you are playing your game important? I can t imagine wanting to do that or caring a all about the ability to do so- it would jus be an interruption in your game play or the reverse

They need that feature... what can you do when you have a xx minutes install time?

do you really want me to bring that picture up again? XD

what is the big difference between an xone and a ps4 with the camera

i don't know about the xone with its snap features etc but the PS4 camera does face recognition and voice control and all that jazz

I'm not sure why you make it such a point to say Sony sacrificed innovation when they did quite a bunch of innovations.
Just because xbox one went over the top and added garage door opening functionality doesn't mean sony sacrificed.

EDIT: Additionally, and I'm not calling you a liar, but it sounds like you didn't even play ps4 as much as you say you did. Sounds like your friend got an xbox1 and you went over to play it. I guess I am calling you a liar. Oh no, but it's not because you didn't like ps4, it's just the way you gloss over the details "we checked out the UI but there wasn't much there", "played for a while but got bored respawning and shooting in killzone". That sounds like someone who is trying to be vague.

EDIT2: No cross game chat? No mention of streaming? Yeah, no, take your viral somewhere else.

PS4 is innovative?

Going to have to agree with the OP here. I will never own a MS console but atm they are the company that actually has the games and features I am interested in. It just almost seems like Sony is lost and doesn't know what to do. Everything that stood out about the Vita and now the PS4, came from another company doing it first. I am not interested in followers, I am interested in market leaders, companies that bring new things to the table.

Over the past decade or so, Nintendo and Microsoft have been the leaders when innovation is considered. Sony simply follows behind.
Microsoft releases the most powerful console.. Sony does it next.
They put a hard drive in there... Sony does it next.
Achievements.. Sony does it next.
Gamerscore... Sony does it next.
Motion gaming with the Wii... Sony comes out with the 'wand'
The Kinect... Sony 'attempts' to position their Eyetoy as a competing product.
A closed, subscription based online gaming service... Sony releases PS+ for their fourth gen machine.
There isn't a single thing that Sony has done that Nintendo or Microsoft felt the need to copy. Nothing.
It's always been the other way around and still is.
Can't argue with that. go ahead and try if you like, but it's a losing battle.... and I don't wanna hear about free games on PS+ vs. Games with Gold as an argument. Totally different concepts and integration.

Good analysis. PS4 is ps3 with added power. Xbox one offers much more than PS4.

While I understand what you are saying. What is SOny doing that makes them seem lost? And What is MS doing that makes them seem innovative? I think both are good machinces personally. I just prefer the games that PS offers over MS.

On Topic:

I buy a console for games first and everything else second, that is why I but a gaming console. Everything else I can already do anyhow on my Cell Phone, Tablet, computer even on on PS3 and 360 now. And you I have to ask because you never said which BF4 game you chose? You said PS4 had better graphics but the XB1 "felt" next gen...what made it "feel" next gen? Isn't the gameplay the exact same on both?

The Upload Studio is pretty much just like the Share feature on the PS4 so not sure what you are getting at there. And right now there isn't A LOT the XB1 can do that the PS4 can't to be honest. You can do A LOT more on the PS3 and 360 right now. Snap is about teh only thing that the PS4 can't do right now to be honest. And it is a pretty cool feature for XB1 in my opinion.

Not trying to down play your post at all just had a few questions. In short I resepct your opinion and that you like your XB1 I was just confused by some of the points in your post. And I hope you have a great expereince with your xB1!

Yeah well those NEW things are pretty useless or poor imo and your paying a 100 dollar premium for it , no thanks ill stick to ps4

plus XBONE has the cloud, secret sauce, is "balanced" , you can talk to it and count sheep with it- how nice
