It just almost seems like Sony is lost and doesn't know what to do. Everything that stood out about the Vita and now the PS4, came from another company doing it first. I am not interested in followers, I am interested in market leaders, companies that bring new things to the table. |
Over the past decade or so, Nintendo and Microsoft have been the leaders when innovation is considered. Sony simply follows behind.
Microsoft releases the most powerful console.. Sony does it next.
They put a hard drive in there... Sony does it next.
Achievements.. Sony does it next.
Gamerscore... Sony does it next.
Motion gaming with the Wii... Sony comes out with the 'wand'
The Kinect... Sony 'attempts' to position their Eyetoy as a competing product.
A closed, subscription based online gaming service... Sony releases PS+ for their fourth gen machine.
There isn't a single thing that Sony has done that Nintendo or Microsoft felt the need to copy. Nothing.
It's always been the other way around and still is.
Can't argue with that. go ahead and try if you like, but it's a losing battle.... and I don't wanna hear about free games on PS+ vs. Games with Gold as an argument. Totally different concepts and integration.
