Why are you setting the bar so high for success? The real test is if it manages to maintain its numbers around the 50k mark for the remainder of the year. That would make the Wii U as successful as PS3 was last year.

Kinda reminds me of Soundwave, where the 3DS can only be succesful when it sells more than 1 million units a week, everything below that is a failure.

He's probably generalizing that is is those that normally try to downplay such as week that are those most likely to create a thread about poor Wii U sales.

Also to note, it's not so much about it being 1 week but the steady progression over the past 2 months from 3-5k sales to the nearly 50k we see this week.

Do you remember how bad the 3DS was doing? Iwata took a 50% pay cut and they dropped the price of it by 1/3. Yet this isn't comparable?!

does not matter what happen with wiiu, the doom guys are going to doomed it no matter what, it is the opposite in the vita threads where they celebrate everything not matter what insignificant the news are, i never go to tell them nothing because it really does not matter to me what happen with vita or ps4, i only care for nintendo systems and PC, but sony guys come here to doomed everything nintendo related, why? it is like a drug for you? or something? i dont get it...
