Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One: Hard Drive Full at 362GBs

I think 20 fully installed games is a good amount of games to have installed at one point in time.

I think going from 1000+ games available to play at any given point to about 20 is a pretty sharp decline.  One of the big advantages of console gaming was no need to install or worry about this stuff.  I should be able to play any game on a whim if I so choose without having to worry about whether I still have it installed on my hard drive.

1000+?? On PS3/360? Full game installs of "AAA" titles?  I really doubt it.

Id imagine in that 1000 theres a fair bit of downloadable games. Also IGN seems to have gone for a worse case scenario.

Take out one of the big games like Ryse (which is ~40gb) and you can install another 10 - 15 smaller titles.

Unless you were talking about simply putting in the disc and playing? In which case the PS4 does the whole install while you play thing..

I agree its a downgrade but personally i think its at an acceptable amount. I dont think I've ever needed to have access to more than 4 or 5 games at one point in time. I guess I've also had some practise with the PS3 slim 120gb...

That got it going, but it was inevitable.

Just erase the couple you don't play anymore. This shouldn't be as big a deal as most make out. 500g isn't enough though and they should be ashamed they "gave" us that short amount.

Wait didn't a Sony fan start the thread?

Either way it kind of doesn't matter if you ask me...but to each his/her own I guess.

I am ps3 gamer. I have no problem with my 12gb ps3 super slim (my ps3 slim 120 gb's HDMI fried). But fanboys cant stop comparing.

Well 12GB would be an issue for me. A single digital download could take far more than that.

But its pretty ridiculous people are this concerned about filling 362GB. Anyhow, an external hard drive should be a simple solution for that small percentage playing a dozen different games a day.

Takes a lot of room for 3 OS and their inter-working connections.

God I love Nintendo's straight up approach with a relatively tiny OS footprint.

Year on, plenty of game including quite a few digital and I still have 10GBs of my original 32 free. Next year sometime I'll add a 500GB~1TB external HDD for like $30.

Yeah, this thread is simple a comparison by smart consumers.

Its not being used for more boasting. Right...
