Loool.

PS4 : 408 Gb

One : 362 Gb

Xbone really lose everywhere...being $100 more expensive

and Internal drive > external drive

Really? Externals are cheaper, and when you buy a 1TB internal you have 1TB of space. When you buy a 1 TB external you have 1.5TB of space (1.3) without ever losing the things you have on the internal.

Internals are way more faster, you cant even compare them with  externals, loadings will be sooooooo slow on externals

THe only way to get a fast external drive is USB 3.0, but way more expensive than internal drive.

So quality/price is better with internals.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I think the confusion comes from me saying the video shows 362 out of 500. I know the Hdd is not a full 500 gb. (give me some credit here lol )  However, verbally in the IGN video (if people would watch it)  they stated they have used 362 gb out of the 500gb hdd and are now full.

Yeah, sorry.  I don't know what you know, but at the same time you don't know what I know.

I wasn't asking on what you know, I was simply commented on a video of what IGN stated after I watched it. I don't need to quiz people on forums to see what they know..

Least you can have external hard drives at launch unlike another console...

I'll pick a higher speed internal any day of the week. if you put games on an external drive, it would take FOREVER to load.  You also can't with either console...

3TB USB 3.0 External for $126, sounds like quality and price is better with externals

So there is in fact a 400GB HDD in the X1 and not a 500GB like it's supposed to be...good to know >_>

What do you mean?  The video shows 20 games installed and used 362 GB out of 500 GB HDD. That rest of the drive is formatted for the OS.  Also, weren't you the one telling me you can't run out of space on X1?

There isn't an OS in the world that should take almost 140GB...that is just pure madness.

And yes I was, which was before I found out about the ridiculous amount of space reserved for the OS. I was going off of an estimated 460ish GBs (all of the games currently out plus apps & DLCadded up to roughly 415GBs of space) to play around with...which may I add is not (or at least, should not be) unrealistic in the least.

@jlmurph2: Internal drives are always better IMO. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm very glad the X1 will be giving the option to have an external drive hooked up instead of charging for overpriced proprietary drives (or even worse, have no upgrade options but buying a new X1 altogether) but I definitely think having an internal drive that can be switched out would have been the way to go.

Those new consoles OS are becoming bloatwares. Mean the use more RAN memory than the Windows 8 and in the case of the PS4 and Xbone it seems that half of the CPU (4 cores) cannot be used by the games (because inter process communication is extremely slow I guess).

I'm afraid we will never see the true power the current gen consoles.

Is this true? How did I not hear of this?

Why don't they just use the magic of TeH CloUdZ for the OS, seeing as it's so powerful?

But its USB 3.0? Usb 3.0 speeds can reach upto 5 Gbps vs Sata can reach upto 6Gbps so the difference should be minimal since mechincal drives cant even get close to the transfer speeds of either of those

The rest of course is taken up by PC support

335GB left after Dead Rising 3, Zoo Tycoon, Peggle 2 and Killer Instinct, nice!!
