Really? Externals are cheaper, and when you buy a 1TB internal you have 1TB of space. When you buy a 1 TB external you have 1.5TB of space (1.3) without ever losing the things you have on the internal.

Not sure why you did the 160 Min amount when the system comes with a 500 GB. But yes, currently the limit is "only" 1.5TB but Seagate is working a 2TB compatible drive.

Does it actually show something with 362 GB? Its not actually 500 GB, 500GB hdd has 465GB of space, without even installing anything. |
Of course it doesn't, X1 doesn't have a storage management system.
I've always been curious about this. What if the internal HDD of the X1 fries? Do you have to send it to MS to be replaced? If so, that's a stupid design decision to not make it replaceable.

I just put that because that's the limits of what you can use. MS is working on getting all externals to work. Which adds to the memory instead of replacing it.

Yes what better way to make your entertainment "all in one" bulky Xbox look even more bigger with an external hdd hooked up to it. You likely won't admit it and that's fine, but imo the PS4 upgrade option is more convenient..

Then people would know how much storage is required for secret sauce, so don't count on MS giving that feature any time soon.

It'll be behind my Xbox where nothing is visible. I have an entertainment center, not a shelf.

Exactly. Just pointing out that your second sentence isn't exactly correct. Mostly the underlined is incorrect. Just checking to see what you know. |
I think the confusion comes from me saying the video shows 362 out of 500. I know the Hdd is not a full 500 gb. (give me some credit here lol ) However, verbally in the IGN video (if people would watch it) they stated they have used 362 gb out of the 500gb hdd and are now full.
