Forums - Nintendo - Why Do People Think 3D World Is Selling Terrible

I don't get it. Some people are even saying Knack sold more. This is with all the info we have.

3D World

US Week 1: 243,193

US Week 2: 144,709

Japan Week 1: 101,798

Japan Week 2: 39,812 (Media Create)

UK Week 1: 18,882

Total: 548,394

Edit: At 706,722 as of December 1st.

Knack sold more in the UK, but its cool to overstate that when you are a Sony fan.

3D world is doing great (for a 4 million installed base) and will have long legs. It will outsell Knack by quite a lot in the end.

Calling Nintendo doomed offers a nice break from the Pixel Counting War.

I think people forgot how damn low that Wii U install base is. Also people are skeptical of our Americas numbers so Japanese and European numbers published through reliable sources get the most attention, and Mario wasn't too hot in those areas.

Hey hey, let's be fair here. There's also the frame-rate wars.

Oh yes, an equally important conflict!

I think it's more to do with the fact that people thought this was going to be a huge system seller for the WiiU. Which it wasn't, the hardware bump has been minuscule for such a critically acclaimed title. It should have moved a lot more WiiUs, but now we're hearing reports about how the system only did 150k this month in the US. Of course that's just a prediction, so take it with a grain of salt.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Yeah, I think it is selling very well for the size of the install base, especially in the U.S. By the end of the year it could have over a 1/3 install base ratio. (in the U.S.)

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !
