I personally would not want to lose my PS3 and its library. But if you are done with the games and are no collector then sell it.

Selling it a week prior to Xmas should give you some extra money. When waiting to long  you will have to "compete" with all the people that got a PS4 for XMAS and want to sell their PS3s.

You can always buy a PS3 again for less money than you sold yours.

So Id say sell it buy it back later and wait on the WiiU after XMAS when ebay etc is full of consoles people didnt want.

If you've exhausted the PS3 library and want those Wii U games then it makes sense. However I would encourage you to keep the PS3 if at all possible. You might want to replay your old games, and play some upcoming games that others have mentioned.

If only the PS4 was backward compatible, that would make your decision a lot easier :/

the last of us dlc comes out soon and i would just keep the ps3 to be able to play your ps3 games

As you pointed out yourself, owning both a PS4 and XBOne is kinda pointless. They are too similar when it comes to software. Last gen I first had a Wii/360 combo, then traded the Xbox in for a PS3 to finally play the few games I couldn't get on the Xbox.
Get a Wii U as a secondary console. You might actually end up using it more than your PS4.

Soundwave why would the Wii u have to cost 250? And why is the Last of us a must play?

Yes of course i played the last of us! And if i trade my ps3 and all my ps3 games in i'll probably get 230$ and the legend of zela bundle and a wii lan adapter will cost me about 330$ so i only need to pay 100$ but is it really worth it? I mean i'm still playing the last of us,gta5 and ratchet and clank into the nexus.

Ofc its Worth it if u want to play Wii u, but if u want to play ps3 its ofc not worth it

I have a Wii u and I am sure you would enjoy it- but time is on your side- I would wait longer to see which games get released in the 1st half of 2014 and which games might be released in the 2nd half of 2014- Also I imagine there will be another price drop for the WII U as well between now and mid 2014
