| pezus said: A true clash of next gen FPS titans is right around the corner. I've seen some debate about this issue recently, but let's settle it all here in this thread. Will Titanfall or Destiny sell more? Will one sell more combined but the other sell better on some platforms? Will one demolish the other?
Some info: Titanfall Platforms (3): One, 360, PC Release Date: March 11 Developer: Respawn Entertainment Previous games of developer: None, but the main guys are the creators of Call of Duty. Publisher: EA Destiny Platforms (4): PS4, One, PS3, 360 Release Date: September 7 Developer: Bungie Previous games of developer: Halo franchise Publisher: Activision |
Even though they are both FPSs, isn't this kind of comparing apples to oranges? One is a MMORPG Co-op game in the vein of borderlands and one is a PVP shooter like Call of Duty. Based on sales of Borderlands(considered by many to be the premier game in the genre) isn't Destiny going to get murdered by Titanfall? Remember this is coming from a devout Sony guy but seriously. After Call of Duty let its target market down with Ghosts, those people are going to be looking for something by the time Feb rolls around. Again, I am even figuring in the fact that there are going to be no sales on Playstation platforms. Shooters sell really well on Xbox and everyone with a One is going to buy this title. I figure 8 or 9 milllion sales on 360 with another 2 to 3 million on One. Maybe 1 million on PC. Destiny will pull in about 2 to 3 million on PS3, 1 to 2 million on PS4, and about 2 million on 360 with maybe a million on One. To be clear, everything I just said was pulled right out of my ass. LOL.
