I don't think Activision have the overall ad budget M$ do and their focus will be CoD at the holiday.  Titanfall will get individual attention earlier in the year and M$ must be feeling the need to keep the X1 userbase close to PS4's.  It will still be one of a fairly limited number of M$ exclusives next fall. 

Could be wrong.  Sony could loosen the purse strings and come through for them.  They've got their own exclusives to push though.  M$ may have some reservations.  Not talking about the end of the love affair or even Bungie's recent stated preference for PS,  more about Halo/Destiny being fairly close in style and settings if not actual genre.

The first Titanfall will get outsold by Destiny, but the second Titanfall will outsell Destiny once it goes full multiplat.
