I don't really understand this, I mean if GTA5 got GOTY that means Rockstar made the best game so therefore shouldn't they get studio of the year too?  What other criteria is there for studio of the year besides who makes the best game...I think they just gave it to them for the Joel Banderas moment, the only memorable moment of the whole show.

Easy, the way the company reacts to fan feedback, the way the company treats their customers and the overall quality of their games. You don't need to win a GOTY to be an awesome company.

I assume since GTA V won GOTY , it and Rockstar was disqualified in its other categories.

Otherwise GTA V should sweep all 3 of those categories and that's not fun.

Because these "awards" arent to be taken seriously.

That's their way of giving Teh Last Of Us a second place award.

Because it's their award ceremony, and they can do what they want with it.
