It actually seems to be that most people are just pointing out that Cranky Kong is trending, more than anything. At least now, not sure how it was when Cranky Kong was first announced.

It was just a lotta news sites saying that nintendo just announced Cranky Kong as a playable character in their upcoming game  etc etc blah blah nothing more sinister than that. There were a few tweets here and there from those youtube guys who hate nintendo but you'd expect that. Far cry from having the whole of america laughing at nintendo as was suggested #storminateacup

It most likely won't. By tomorrow Cranky Kong won't be a trend on twitter anymore and everyone (aside from gamers on the internet) will completely forget about it. But today Nintendo might have catch the attention of some people, which is always good.

This company is really in need of some new management. No one buy a Wii U for the rest of the year, then maybe the shareholders  will kick Iwata and Reggie out on their kiesters.

But Microsoft beating Naughty Dog for Studio of the Year? WTF?

BTW this VGX has totally sucked. I definitely miss the old days when Jessica Alba, Maria Menounos, and Eliza Dushku would come out dressed to the nines like it was an actual Hollywood production. This new format makes me really Cranky.

Doesn't crankykong trending at number 2 mean it was a good announcement? Unless the tweets are mostly making fun of the announcement...but I'm not sure bout that!

I was expecting Zelda WiiU... LOL ...so the less said the better bout this announcement. Got too hyped up...at least tropical freeze does look awesome. DKCR was the best platformer of the last gen after all!

Most of the tweets seem to be about it trending or news sites reporting it. It's not really much of a battlefield.
