LOL, cranky kong trending #2 on Twitter in the US. Hahahahaha, US is laughing at Nintendo atm. Wow, I can't even defend them on that one. They fully deserve it.

That just means Nintendo got what they wanted.

Tons of people calling them idiots/stupid/numbnuts. Yea, pissing off an audience that already dislikes you and pissing off your own audience is not really a good thing.

*Goes and checks twitter*

I don't see that many people mocking Cranky Kong or Nintendo. Most twitters are about how surprised they are that Cranky is in the top trends and heck I've seen quite a few twitters saying that with how shitty the VGX were Cranky Kong was the best thing in the show (some of them are talking sarcastically of course, but people can't tell the difference).

So yeah Nintendo got what they wanted.

After having enough exposure to the VGX, I am glad Nintendo didn't dishonor Zelda with this filthy show.

Isn't the whole show just sickening? I'm happy I actually forgot to tune in this year.

er yes but I'd say only about 5% of the tweets are actually making fun of the fact while the rest are just legitimite reports.

Become a joke at the internet? I doubt it. A new x/smash/bayo combo trailer could hav done a better job on hyping the console.

You should check twitter. I also expected lot's of mocking and stuff, but surprisingly I haven't seen that many actually mocking Nintendo. With some very few exceptions, the worst things I have seen are that they are disappointed.

It actually seems to be that most people are just pointing out that Cranky Kong is trending, more than anything. At least now, not sure how it was when Cranky Kong was first announced.

Tbf, yes Twitter is not a bloodbath. But it could have be a very positive day with something more meaningful, even if it wan't something new.

It gets the game attention, which is what Nintendo needs. And as long as that attention isn't all critism, the attention can only benefit the game.

Anybody who honest to god continues to support this company, unconditionally is completely to blame for this. As a true Nintendo fan, I gave up on this company years ago, because I refuse to accept them, given the path they've headed down. Nintendo needs to truly go back to it's roots. Stop allowing this people. Stop being sheep.

Stop allowing what? Make a reveal of a character from a games that's going to be amazing instead of a new one? Which we know is going to come eventually? It is dissapointing, but people like to take this to whole new levels.

I honestly don't understand why people are raging so much about this. You want a Zelda reveal? Wait until E3, you know the game is going to come anyway. Metroid? Maybe at E3 as well. People are just pissed that "core" gamers will make fun of Nintendo, which is extremely stupid and just shows how people take the internet way too serious.

It's not just this. I want to see the old Nitnendo back. The one that didn't just rehash the shit out of everything because they knew millions of idiots for buy it for the name itslef, never actually play, all while Nintendo makes a quick buck. The one that actually took risks. The one that actually focused on games for gamers. Nintendo is a pathetic failure in the console industry now. It's all the BS they've succembed to doing.

This post made me cry.

You be the judge on what type of cry it was.

We'll see if that attention worked next year at release.
