Forums - Nintendo - My totally unrealistic but pants-shitting-inducing scenario for VGX

Am I alone in really not wanting VR?

The idea of it just does nothing for me; I like playing games on the TV, I like using a controller, I like being able to turn and talk to my girlfriend whilst it's being played. I honestly can't understand why so many people are talking about VR as though it would be the best thing ever in terms of gaming. I just don't see the appeal.

In fact, the day VR becomes commonplace in consoles is the day I go PC and never look back.

Oh, but you don't understand, do you? The day the Super Virtual Boy is released, is the first step towards total Nintendomination. They will soon be the ONLY gaming company around. They will own Xbox, PS AND PC. There is no escaping the utter dominance of the SVB

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I will take anything that is not another shitty donkey kong tropical freeze trailer!

I'm pretty sure The Super Virtual Boy actually has Donkey Kong game ready at launch (or if it's for the launch window, I'm not quite sure): Donkey Kong: Kranky Kong Goes Bananas, so that'll probably be shown... But like I said previously, there's something like 19 other games as well.

Actually, scratch my EA prediction.

Ultimate Nintendo news (for me) would be:

"We have bought Rare from Microsoft, the old staff have all returned, and Banjo Threeie is coming, exclusively to Wii U, in 2014."

They then announce Banjo and Kazooie as characters in Smash Bros.

First, what follows is unrealistic and won't happen, so don't bother to mention that it's unrealistic and won't happen.

I would just like to see all VGX attendants, gaming press people, bloggers and internet forum dwellers lose their shit at once. Like there was a huge disturbance in the force.

Imagine this:

Reggie together with Iwata and Miyamoto holds an average presentation. Just when everybody thinks it's over, and all bloggers are already preparing mean tweets and Nintendo doom posts, Reggie mentions they have one more trailer.

Cue epic music... Zelda U trailer starts playing. It doesn't look cartoonish as everybody feared/expected. It shows a gritty dark world and a fantastic looking adult link. As a result, a few fanboys have shit their pants from excitement. Some people actually tweet their excitement.

Okay, now the show's over.

But wait. In a Columbo fashion Reggie turns around, mumbling, "Oh, uh, one more thing..."

Smoke is blown onto the stage, and as it clears, we see somebody... big... very big... It's Gabe Newell!

The crowd goes huuuuuuh?! Dafuk?!

The guys on stage shake hands and exchange man hugs.

The announcement: Nintendo will port 3 of their big games and release them on Steam. In exchange: Half Life (3) U with Wii U specific controls exclusively on Wii U.

Bam! The hall starts to smell, because too many people lost their shit at the megaton bomb.

Twitter servers break down.

VG Chartz forums go into denial. "Who wants Half Life 3 anyway?", they say. "It's not hardcore enough," they say...

What is he, Steve Jobs?

It's always the "one more thing" trailer at the end of the conference :D same stories I hear every year with The Last Guardian or Crash Bandicoot 4, they will always happen in the same scenario :D

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

That's because it's THE best way to announce a game!!

Well, I think that by 2020 Nintendo will own and run both Sony and MS, so yeah ^^
