You people shouldn't have bought FF5 with those same kinda graphics... it all you guys fault SE keeps continuing with this.. Giving them money for mobile games makes them think people want more mobile games..

I enjoy my graphics to be grainy and dark. So, the mobile one definitely sucks.

I also figured out that you would be the poster of this thread before even entering, Nikko. You are seriously one of the only people that don't despise mobile. It makes you... even more unique!

I actually don't think it looks bad.  Aside from the character models which don't look really good, it looks decent.  Final Fantasy 4 Complete Collection did the same thing, and while character models also looked bad, the game had a lot of detail put into it. 

Aside from the character models though, one thing I really do take notice of is the mountains in the back with Narshe alongside them.  It's the same image, but to me it looks a bit blurry in the remake.  That background just looks really bad. 

However everything else I think looks good.  the picture of the empire castle looks exactly the same just higher quality.  The stick in the snow looks higher quality with light textures on it, the snow looks higher quality also with light textures.  I mean they could put more detail in the textures.

Doesn't look horrible to me though.  It just doesn't look as good.

Meh should have made it 3D like FF III & IV

As a hardcore FF fan on the SNES era, I'm disgusted by this. It'd make sense had they turned,the,game in 3D of something but this outrageous!!!

I actually like the upgraded look of the sprites and backgrounds (though arguably not as important if you're not playing on an HDTV).. but they definitely look too 'soft' in this case.

It looks better...

however, I think subconsiously crappy sprites and crappy backgrounds look better, because it looks like every other SNES game so it's accepted in your brain for it to look that way.

Whereas when it's all cleaned up and made higher resolution, it doesn't really look like anything that you've seen before. And feels unnatural.
It feels new, and when compared to other 2D games like TWEWY or Rayman origins it looks craptastic still.
