Wow, this was nearly two years ago. I had forgotten all about it.
Anyway, I think we did confirm the bet somewhere. I remember you saying you would use the courts if I didn't pay up, or something similar...I'll have to find the thread.
| kowenicki said: Unfortunately for you I kept the thread in my favourites. You said "not yet... I shall confirm the bet in two days".... then.... silence. |
Nah, I'm pretty sure we confirmed it. Is it possible that you were drunk during the confirmation?
I'm so confident that we confirmed the bet that I'm willing to bet on it. Double or nothing?
Join the club i'd say. This seems to be happening a lot around here lately.
i'm sure there are plenty to defend against if you really want to but just create 2 or 3 more alts and troll away, most do,
nothing is settled yet even if people are jumping to conclusions, could well be an even generation for me,a real battle of the loyalists, the casuals have moved on to whatever they do
well.. if there´s one thing that IS really changing this generation is the interest of the average consumer
All three main brands are failing in bringing new consumers to this market. The consumers that were obtained during the casual wave of Wii, Kinect and (at a much less extent) PsMove all flew away to mobile and tablet gaming. They can only count with their fanbases now.

Nice that you acknowledged your own bias. And while you are right saying the word "temporarily", 360 beating PS3 for 7 out of the 8 years of last gen deserves a better term. But I am nitpicking so I digress.
You are in a pickle, because you sir, are not a bully. You are not a smug gloater. To continue on your current path would be kicking the fans while they are down and when one gives a nice argument you can't resist to debate, you will be seen as the guy who is stamping out the hope of a fan group rising, essentially keeping them down.
By contrast, I will now play a defensive role, advocating that the XBox One is better then people (Sony fans) give credit for, and will play the geography card whenever possible. Good luck finding your path this gen.
| Seece said: Are you freaking kidding? Have you visited the Unity thread? If anything losing makes fanbases act more irrational and crazy. |
Absolutely. Being backed into a corner makes many fans rabid and vicious. See early PS3 fans ("BUT IT'S WORTH $600") and early Wii fans ("IT'S GOT GAMES GODDAMN IT!@@213 *spams Wii games list*). Of course, the reverse is also true, with fans who think they have a clear advantage dipping way into the obnoxious zone, such as early fans of the original Xbox ("H4l0 gRapHix 0wNs Ps2 l0l").
Amazingly, I've noticed a lot of new Nintendo fans on the forums lately and many of them seemed to be hopped up on rage and Mario and looking for a fight.

Buy a WiiU and become a Nintendo fan. Problem solved!
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

I think its gonna be best to stand at the sidelines with a rifle, shooting down anything you want to from any fanbase.
Sticking with the Sony fans isnt going to be fun, simply because the Sony fanbase has the largest number of people who need shooting down.
