Around August Next year give or take a month or 2.
No way i think most of the people who bought the wii u love it and theres allot of great games to look forward to. The problem is not enough people are buying in at this point. Hopefully the holidays change that and it goes into next year with decent sales numbers. It doesnt have to beat sony and ms to succeed but it does have to sale good enough to keep people makeing games for it. Its stuck in a wierd spot rite now haveing to compete with last gen at lower prices, the new consoles, and even the wii. It may just take some time for market conditions to change and its possible it could take off in its second or third year. I kinda feel this will be the case and it will be a late bloomer when people get around to making it there second console and last gen is not as heavily supported.

Xbone/PS4 have more hype and marketing behind them. Wii U's marketing is absolute rubbish. |
its more about brand, like the galaxy or iphone, you could release an upgrade every year and millions willl line up to buy every year, the playstaion brand its just huge force world wide, its always gonna be able to sell 80 million + units, the xbox brand has established itself in north america by basically making all the right moves to appeal to the core market, both of those consoles have a dedicated fans this gen, while sony lost a lot of fans to the xbox 360 by making horrible moves, ithey are making all the right moves now. though.

I agree that it's about brand, but brand image is very much the result of marketing; how you present your brand to the consumer.

even microsoft was extremely fortunate with the 360 to be able to compete with sony at there own game, the price of the ps3 really is the only reason microsoft even got close to sony, another huge reason was the DS3 controller was a piece of crap compared to the 360 controller, 3 generations with the same controller, finally sony upgraded with the DS4, its take a bit of luck and a lot of mistakes from the competeion to get back in the race.

Nintendo and Microsoft's mistakes over the last year have handed Gen 8 to PS4 on a platter. Sony aren't the only ones who screw up.

Yes there is, dunno how anyone could think WiiU is gonna lead this gen. Utterly laughable dear SFdfsg

I agree, but nintendo has been making mistakes since the N64, gamecube ,wii and wiiu were all mistakes, nintendo chose to focus 100% on mainstream with the wii, not having a console powerful enough to get ps3/360 ports, and no real online focuse, is the main reason why the wiiu is selling the way it is.
