nope. i select standby. the ps4 shutsdown, then i click the PS button. from that point it take 24-26 seconds to where killzone icon is clickable. then i click on killzone, load game, click continue campaign, it puts me in, that takes 18-20 seconds.

edit: ok this is weird. i powered off my PS4 (not standby), then clicked ps button, it did the exact same boot up process as standby mode, but it only took 22 seconds. thats 3 seconds faster than standby mode. im confused.

I saw a video of game play posted while the update was happening on the ps4. it was cod ghost. The video got a lot of negative commentary for looking horrible. A ton of detail was missing all over the map. SO what the ps4 runs us the bare minimum of playability. perhaps the xbox one doesn't allow any sacrifices before it allows the game to run.

I still want to see the online install comparison cause I doubt I'll be getting any disc if I have to infall them anyway.

I think your PS4 is not resuming from StandBy... because they numbers are like the Cold Boot... how many time your console take from Cold Boot?

What is the situation with dowloadable games?

The ARM coprocessor could do wonders, but it wouldn´t matter if the games are not particioned or bottlenecked by the conection speed.

And it seems people have forgotten that the One was designed to make disc a "alternative" to install games, not the main focus of the sistem.

Xbox one has play and install.  Its clearly not working with certain games very well for some reason?

Hows that standby mode working out?  Far more relevant in my opinion.  This is a one time problem.  Starting up and waiting for every play thereafter is an every time problem. 

I can say xbox on and be signed in and playing the game from exactly where I left it off the night before in about 15 seconds.

Anyways MS needs to fix those load times. Ridiculous for "Next gen".

Since standby mode boot is far more relevant to you, you might be interested that the PS4 wakes from standby much quicker than the Xbox One.

well, I don't see how the xbox one would start faster than the ps4 when the operating system has way more going on. that much is expected.......at least I would think as such.

Shouldn't be using discs in the first place. Physical media is archaic. Going digital the rest of this gen. So it takes me 1 second to switch to another game while you have to get up, open case, grab disc, eject previous disc, insert new disc, put other disc away. Thanks but no thanks physical media needs to die right with Gamestop.
