That sounds more like a clarification than a backtrack Selnor. He clarifies that he thinks K:SF and Ryse are the best looking games on their respective consoles which explains why he said both were the best. Then, he explains that he preferes the artstyle of K:SF which is why he said he thought it looked better. That's a pretty straightforward message.

You seem to be under the impression that because he preferes Killzones artstyle that someone confirms that Ryse is the technically more impressive game. Which makes no sense whatsoever because we haven't seen the technical article on K:SF yet. I also suspect you will be dissapointed when that comes out, but you'll just make up some crap to try and spin it the way you want it to be.

That's true, his biased doesn't make him wrong. Him being wrong makes him wrong.

You're right that people shouldn't be posting things like that, they are better off just ignoring him. But you have to admit he's done a pretty good job of making sure as few people as possible take him seriously.

This comparison is a bit apples to oranges. A game that runs at 1920x1080 at 30 or 60 fps will cost a lot more resources to display the same effects as a game that runs at 1600x900 at sub 30 fps. Scale is also important. A God of War style game has a much narrower scope than an fps with big maps. The gap in resources required between the two scenarios is colossal. With that said, if I absolutely had to choose between Guerrilla and Crytek in terms of which studio is more technically accomplished, I might choose Crytek, marginally. Guerrilla still would be in my global top 5, when it comes to technically adept studios. But both get owned by Dice imo! Battlefield looks better than Crysis and its lighter too.
