Forums - Gaming - Digital Foundry writer backtracks Killzone comment

Resogun, Black Flag, and Rivals don't look as good as KZSF but all 3 are more entertaining.

Yeah I'm confused as well about your inferring here selnor. You seem to have some oddly skewed perceptions sometimes. At most, he's saying they're equal (even tho he's giving the edge to KZ for aesthetic reasons.

Regardless, both games are gorgeous and reveal power for their respective consoles. Can we just name this contest a tie?

Trying a bit to hard. Killzone is running at a higher res more constant fps. And looks better over all.

We're going down this route again? Everyone praised GoW last gen because it was "the best looking exclusive" but when people brought up the static camera it didn't matter. Only thing that mattered was how the game looked. Now all of a sudden since Ryse might be the best looking exclusive out it doesn't matter because it's res is slightly lower than Killzone's and the fps is lower. We are talking purely astethics here. If Ryse looks better then it looks better. If Killzone looks better then it looks better. Nobody is going to look at Ryse and say "It isn't native 1080p so it looks like crap."

I understand neither the fascination with graphics nor how "gamers" separate into pathetic groups of fanatics who worship brands. Ryse is likely the prettier game but why do people care?

Because people wont be able to live their lives if PS4 doesn't have every single better looking exclusive.

Nope only graphics matter. Crysis 3 ultra settings on PC is the best game ever made.

Don't understand him detracting KZ because of no locked fps but not doing the same for Ryse which drops to 16fps as DF analysed themselves.

i know. Killzone looked very smooth to me. reminded me a lot of God Of War. Both games hover around 35-45fps in single player. and they look buttery smooth.

and then in multiplayer. KZ is 50+.
