From day one Nintendo said that they will be at a loss for each console and selling one game would make up for that.  Why do I know this?  Because everybody made a big deal about it seeing as Nintendo ALWAYS profits on their consoles imediately and one reason they were able to even make Gamecube a success.  So no they never said that. oh and the fact Nintendo announced it themselves.  So did they say the same thing?

And well, we don't have to forget that this is just manufacturing cost, we have to take into consideration the cost of research the technology over the years, which are added to the cost of a product, and it that regard, i'm sure that Microsoft spent much more money than Sony with Kinect and Xbox One....

well, no clue how much sony and microsoft really have to pay for every console and if this teardown is really close to reality or not but xbox one should be more expensive to produce including kinect (which seems to be very expensive) so that it should be also obvious that xbox one cost more at retail. if that was a good or bad idea from microsoft is another question but the price difference is probably fair if you look at the costs for both companies.

there will be a little bit higher loss or profit for one of both companies but they should be both pretty close to each other if you compare their costs and what they ask for as price.

Yeap... I'm saying the difference is bigger than 10% and bigger than the difference from GDDR5 vs DDR3.

And the price of DDR3 will increase after 2014 while the GDDR5 will decrease.

The only think weaker is the GPU, memory bandwidth is compensated with ERAM.

One could argue with the 10% OS overhead but in terms of hardware they are very similar.

Everything is weaker... 32MB fast eSRAM didn't compensated 8GB.... the CPU by the teardowns runs fast than Xbone's CPU too.

That has nothing to do with the Xbox One hardware. It's a Crytek game, all they know how to do is graphics. There is no denying that the hardware in the Xbox One is less powerful, to insinuate otherwise is foolish.
