Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

But Titanfall is a new IP while Infamous is an existing IP since 2008. However, I hope both games will have a nice sales because I love them both.

Who puts money on something that isn't coming out for 3 months? This is a list of freaks lol.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Titanfall will easily outsell Infamous. No doubts about it.

Marketing and media coverage is much more intense for it.

The split user base will harm Titanfall numbers.

Titanfall is going to disappoint a lot of people it's online only, and fact is, a lot of people simply don't by online online shooters, many still play BF, Call of duty just for SP, more then play online. There are not 10 millio playing cod online not close. It is not going to be a huge seller.

Destiny will be vastly bigger.

lol, you know that Destiny is an online game as well right?

Destiny will be a bigger seller, mainly because it will be on playstation as well as xbox.

ONLINE ONLY..............

im pretty sure you have to be connected online to play destiny, so techinically thats online only as well. i know what your getting at, is that it has an PvP modes only with some AI and no real single player like destiny.

Infamous is one of the most underrated games of ps3. IMO its better than uncharetd series. An open world game with good and bad karma system is awesome. Also cole's power was great. Delsin looks promising. This game looks really cool. I have decided to get ps4 with infamous second son.

Color me surprised. Everyone is hyping up Titanfall as the next big thing, the XB1's killer app and system seller.

But according to VGchartz, InFamous: Second Son is right on par with it for pre orders. Infamous is actually doing better right now considering it comes out a week later.

I suspect this may change quite a bit since MS will market Titanfall a lot when it comes out in March, so Titanfall will have better long term sales. But InFamous is doing pretty damn good right now. Should be the best selling InFamous.

Do you think Titanfall sales will fail to live up to its hype? IMO anything under 5 Million for the XB1 sku would be dissappointing for MS, Respawn, and EA.

Did MS make a mistake by not locking this up as XB1 exclusive? (it's also on xbox 360 and PC)

InFamous 1 sold 2.65m and InFamous 2 sold 1.6. Will this be InFamous break out title? Will it sell over 3 million finally?

I think your reasoning is very flawed.  It is surprising that Second Son is not substantially ahead of Titanfall - given it has two existing games with solid sales, and an equivelant marketing push from Sony.

5 million copies sold for Titanfall (assuming it releases by April next year) would require every single X1 owner to purchase the game - and attach rate of 100% based on the number of consoles it will launch too.

I will allow for the possibility you just didn't quite grasp the history of these two titles, and the context of the market they'll launch into, but its hard not to feel like you're deliberately trolling...

You're surprised when any new IP looks poised to sell better than any existing IP? I'm guessing you're surprised a lot.

As for the bolded, you do know that games continue selling after their release date, right? Talk about flawed reasoning...

considering how many people in usa have an xbox one and how many a ps4 and also how many will have one with the release of both games i'm not really surprised.

the difference lies in the importance to sell consoles with these kind of games. infamous will mostly sell to people who are already playstation fans and would buy a playstation even without infamous. titanfall is a game for the "average console customer" and could be the difference for some people to decide if xbox one or ps4.

but i think the game should release in the holidays 2014 to be really a factor. not sure if it can sell consoles when it releases at a a time when not many buy consoles. and when the holiday season starts, it will be already an older game. but we will probably get a bundle then...

I have a hard time thinking Titanfall will sell 5mn LTD, since the install base is not that big and because it isn't as strong at the moment as for example Halo. I believe somewhere around 3-4mn is expected, and 5mn+ would be considered a success.
