Color me surprised. Everyone is hyping up Titanfall as the next big thing, the XB1's killer app and system seller.

But according to VGchartz, InFamous: Second Son is right on par with it for pre orders. Infamous is actually doing better right now considering it comes out a week later.

I suspect this may change quite a bit since MS will market Titanfall a lot when it comes out in March, so Titanfall will have better long term sales. But InFamous is doing pretty damn good right now. Should be the best selling InFamous.

Do you think Titanfall sales will fail to live up to its hype? IMO anything under 5 Million for the XB1 sku would be dissappointing for MS, Respawn, and EA.

Did MS make a mistake by not locking this up as XB1 exclusive? (it's also on xbox 360 and PC)

InFamous 1 sold 2.65m and InFamous 2 sold 1.6. Will this be InFamous break out title? Will it sell over 3 million finally?

I think your reasoning is very flawed.  It is surprising that Second Son is not substantially ahead of Titanfall - given it has two existing games with solid sales, and an equivelant marketing push from Sony.

5 million copies sold for Titanfall (assuming it releases by April next year) would require every single X1 owner to purchase the game - and attach rate of 100% based on the number of consoles it will launch too.

I will allow for the possibility you just didn't quite grasp the history of these two titles, and the context of the market they'll launch into, but its hard not to feel like you're deliberately trolling...

You're surprised when any new IP looks poised to sell better than any existing IP? I'm guessing you're surprised a lot.

As for the bolded, you do know that games continue selling after their release date, right? Talk about flawed reasoning...
