bet with ash3336 he wins if Super Mario 3D World sells less than Mario Sunshine during the first three years, I win if 3D World outsells Sunshine's first 3 years. Loser get sig controlled for 3 months (punishment might change)

Galaxy 2 was my favourite, I did play it before the first one though.

I don't know if it's better than galaxy games, but damn is it close. I really really like the game. It controls so well. I'm not all the way through, but I've beat the first 8 worlds, and I was quite impressed. I'm going to play the galaxies, 3D Land, and sunshine again to see where they all stand, but right now I would say it's one of the best.

Well I don't have the game yet, but it doesn't surprise me that most people are saying it's not better than Galaxy. It's hard to be better when they set the standard so high.

I'll need a year before I can really answer you, but I'll wager Super Mario Cats should atleast come in second behind Sunshine. Not sure if can beat it out though, but we'll see! In like a year, lol!

Its fun and amazing but not as epic as Galaxy was... I think Galaxy just may be the peak of where Mario could go but its hard to tell... Nintendo can do wonders when put up to the test but to reach galaxy levels, but they need some magical fairy dust which I am not sure if they have enough after that to make something that is Galaxy caliber... So I think 3rd in terms of 3d Mario and 4th is terms of Mario in general

At least they have many other franchises that I think has a lot more potencial to go higher thankfully

It's really a breed all its own. It doesn't "beat" 64 or Sunshine, because 64 and Sunshine were something very different. Galaxy is a better comparison, but Galaxy lacked the score-attack aspects. It is only directly comparable to 3D Land, which it beats the living piss out of.

I tell ya, as a kid of the 80's, I felt that Nintendo may have been losing it. I said "Yeah, it's Nintendo but most of those guys that made the games I love are long gone. They're just Nintendo in name, only."
