Forums - Microsoft - Totally cool and unexpected Xbox One Feature!

I use many apps on my Xbox 360, and one of the things I was dreading was imputing all those emails and passwords all over again.  Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, HBO Go, Vimeo plus a tone more (Music, Video, New, other things like Twitch, etc.)  I'm getting tired just writing about them.

I am all happy with my Xbox One thought, if I connect a few apps a day, I'll get throught them without too much of a hassle, but I was still not looking forward to it.

Turns out it remember you old log ins from your 360 so I punched up Netflix - it already works! Tried Hulu Plus - yup it worked too.  So you don't need to relog all your apps as they go off your old long in and gamertag.

So much time saving and convenience – a very pleasant surprise, Thanks guys who did this!

TL/DR: Xbox One will automatically log you into all the old apps that you had on your Xbox 360

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I think that is why they changed their policies some weeks ago. You remember when people tried to let is look as if Microsoft wants to do some bad stuff? I think it was to allow them to use all your data for all the apps you use so that it works automatically. Instead of typing in the same stuff for every app you simply accept to transfer the data when you want to use an app. If you don't want to give that company your data just don't use the app.

If you make people pay to access entertainment apps they already pay for, gotta give them something in return. Not bad.

Hm, so all those log-ins and passwords are stored on Microsoft's servers. Well, that sure is a convenient feature for the majority of people, yet there are some who feel uneasy that sensitive data is being handled by third parties (MS in this case), so I hope there is an option to only store those locally on your console to keep everyone happy :).

So, basically, Microsofy is storing all the different passwords and usernames you input for those different services, even those that aren't theirs, on their own servers...

Everything is tied to your Microsoft account. One account rules all. Xbox One, you superfly.........
